Scholarships

Our organization has a Latina college adviser serving over 18 counties in Eastern North Carolina. In the year 2023, she helped 119 students.

Elizabeth started her advising career with the Carolina College Advising Cor. and was placed in Chatham County. She had two high school assignments. One was 60% Latinx and the other was a PWI. When she saw the impact of representation, she discovered her passion for helping students.

Even though she took the advising job in her gap year because she was on a Pre-Med track, she realized that either she could become one Latinx doctor or she could help create 10 Latinx doctors. She is creating generational impact in her community one student at a time.

LO QUE QUIERO LO CONSIGO SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

We proudly offer a $1000 scholarship to three college bound Latinx students each year. The title of the scholarship “Lo Que Quiero Lo Consigo” means “What I want, I attain” because we believe that determination is key in order to attain our goals as first generation students.
