OUR STORY
Casa Azul de Wilson hosted its first event in March 2021, bringing the community together during the pandemic for an outdoor gathering. We invited ten young local leaders to share their professional journeys after high school with current seniors, inspiring them to dream big and aim high. We firmly believe that “We cannot be what we cannot see.” The lack of representation in leadership perpetuates underrepresentation, making it harder for others to envision themselves in those spaces. This event marked the beginning of our mission to empower young Latinx leaders, showcase their potential, and build a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
OUR IMPACT
Casa Azul de Wilson currently serves 17 counties with bilingual college advising. The generational impact of supporting youth in their educational pursuits will have unquantifiable ripple effects for their families and communities. We are an extremely precious resource for Latinx students in the state.
